Environmental, Health & Safety Coordinator We are a transformer metal recycling company; turning unwanted post-consumer items and industrial scrap into raw materials for manufacturing operations around the world. We are currently looking for Environmental Health & Safety Supervisor to join our operation in Coeymans, NY. The Safety, Health, Environmental Coordinator contributes to the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Company s HES performance. The HES supervisor will advise the management team on HES issues, evaluate potential hazardous situations and environmental impacts, conduct accident investigations, and ensure compliance will all HES regulatory and Company requirements. Responsibilities: Provides support in the development and implementation of HES management systems and compliance programs. Evaluates safety, health and environmental risks and works with management to identify and implement prompt corrective actions. Manage accident administration process including investigation, review reporting and accident prevention follow-up. Investigate the near miss accident situations. Enforce the implementation, coordination and administration of Health and Safety programs in accordance with local, state, federal, company and customer rules and regulations. Work with internal groups to update and maintain safety and health requirements in contract master agreements and required health and safety plans ( HASP s) Deliberately strive to work in a proactive versus reactive manner by managing self and others in ways that optimize safety, relationships, and all components of the project (i.e., schedule regular meetings with key stakeholders, provide OSHA training to ensure compliance prior to job starts). Overseas inspection programs and performs regular HES inspections. Assists the HES Director on projects related to areas of responsibility. Schedule and/or conduct training to support the safety needs of Clients, Subcontractors, etc. Ensure that all project specific safety plans are submitted as required. Develop and manage relationships with customers and enforcement authorities in the states that we work. Interface/develop relationships with client safety resources. Manage ISNetworld, Avetta, Power Advocate (and similar programs) information updates. What we offer in return: Competitive salary commensurate with experience ($50,000 - $60,000).
