Position Summary:

The University Relations Leader is responsible for creating and executing GlobalFoundries U.S. University Relations strategy, encompassing volume hiring for both internships and full-time positions in engineering and manufacturing, as well as pipeline hiring across the various management disciplines.The role will create a strategic talent advantage for the company through building and leveraging deep relationships with key schools and attracting talent best suited for careers at GlobalFoundries. The position will report to the US Director of Talent Acquisition, and will mature this competency across the Talent Acquisition organization, by working both with the US team as well as with TA leaders in Europe and Asia.

Essential Responsibilities:

Build and deepen relationships with target universities and technical schools (including placement offices, faculty, administration, and students) on a regional and national level

Align campus strategy with the companys diversity initiatives

Create and implement a social media strategy for identifying and building relationships with prospective talent

Manage the recruiting and selection process for graduate and undergraduate summer interns, as well as new college graduates

Build relationships with all levels of management, understand their business needs, and communicate regularly on status of university programs

Align campus talent acquisition strategy to short and long term business needs

Complement the broader TA team by sourcing alumni from key schools for open requisitions

Develop creative ways to increase the companys brand and profile on campus and beyond

Coordinate and attend campus site visits, job fairs, speaking events, etc.

Serve as primary point of contact for HRBPs and hiring managers orienting them to the college process (e.g. calendars, roles and responsibilities) and assisting them in building the infrastructure (e.g. campus teams, coordinators, etc.)

Partner w/assigned business groups to ensure demand planning is done on a timely basis, and serve as a trusted business advisor/SME on college recruiting topics

Establish and track metrics for programs success and provide analysis to make recommendations for improvements. Track exit interviews and collect/analyze data to improve program.

Required Qualifications

Bachelors degree in related field

Minimum of 5 years of directly related talent acquisition experience

Clear and persuasive communication skills combined with

exceptional interpersonal skill

Expertise in leveraging social media for sourcing and employer

branding

Preferred Qualifications

Masters Degree in related discipline

Knowledge of EEO, OFCCP, ADA, and employment/immigration l

laws and practices

Strong analytical skills and decision making capabilities

Applicant Tracking System (ATS) experience

Demonstrated experience with Behavioral Interviewing techniques

Advanced Hi-Tech, fast paced large organization experience
