A NYS agency located in New York, NY is looking for a Technical Developer for a 12 month contract.


Requirements and skills



  • Candidate must have at least 8 years of experience in implementation, upgrade and enhancement of PeopleSoft 9.0 (Finance Modules) and higher versions

  • Strong expertise in working with PeopleSoft Finance Modules with understanding of integration across those modules such as General Ledger, Expenses, Billing, Budgeting, Asset Management, Accounts Receivable, Purchasing, Accounts Payable, Cash Management and Financial Gateway

  • Ability to work with business users and develop specifications and process flows

  • Must have hands-on expertise in implementation tasks for the project life cycle including fit-gap analysis, system design, development, data conversion, system and user acceptance testing, production migration and user support, test planning plus development of test conditions and test scripts

  • Ability to develop technical design specifications, test conditions and test scripts

  • Must have both Functional and Technical knowledge of PeopleSoft functions and processes

  • Recent Experience is a MUST in PeopleSoft Accounts Receivable and Billing Modules; Expense Management experience is an added plus; Must have worked on at least two projects in these modules; Require Techno-Functional expertise in these modules



Should be familiar with the following types of functions:



  • End-to-End Process Life Cycle in Expense Management Module

  • End-to-End Process Life Cycle in Accounts Receivable and Billing Modules

  • Cash Management, Financial Gateway, BAI2 Files

  • Commitment Control - Budget Compliance rules for Procurement expenses

  • eProcurement; Procurement Workflows, Non-PO Voucher

  • Vendor Management; Single Pay Vendor

  • Configuration of Entry Events to reflect real-time data for Revenue and Expenditure for the Financial Books

  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft Security Matrix - Roles and Permission Lists; User Preferences

  • Usage of Tableset Control, Row Level Security, Search View

  • Bank Setup and Reconciliation



Should be familiar with the following areas:



  • Expertise in application development programming tools - Application Engine, Integration Broker, Component Interface

  • Excel to CI, PeopleCode, Application Designer

  • XML Publisher, Crystal Report, SQL, PeopleSoft Query, nVision

  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft Security Roles and Permission Lists, Tableset Control

  • Development of Work Flow with multiple level of approvers including Ad-hoc approvers



Responsibilities



  • Participate in the development of the PeopleSoft technical object, including modifications, extensions and interfaces, data conversion and reports
