Were seeking a brand strategist at the Group Director level in our New York office to support this offering with relevant experience working with biopharmaceutical brands across patient and healthcare professional audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Support the strategic brand and experience planning function for both AOR and short-term brand-building client assignments, primarily with pharmaceutical and biotechnology brands, both pre- and post- product launch
  • Drive consensus across internal and external teams regarding any number of matters by providing guidance, a distinct and well-defined point-of-view, and clear leadership
  • Lead immersive and engaging workshops for clients across a wide variety of themes, including; Insight Immersion, Mission and Vision construction, Brand Personality, the development of a Brands Premise, Promise and Essence, Message Development and prioritization, Competitive Simulation, Ideation (brainstorming) towards a fixed goal, Belief and Behavior creation, User Journey/Experience mapping and Scenario Planning
  • Partner with Medical Strategy to form a cohesive view of the related brand science and resultant marketing strategy
  • Define positioning and go-to market strategy by supporting research efforts, stakeholder interviews, workshops and exercises
  • Help the extended team to translate client needs into actionable steps, and/or W2O-specific deliverables
  • Support operating companies within the W2O network and department leads including Account, Creative, and Analytics to develop innovative and results-driven brand plans including tactical recommendations
  • Provide insight and justification for strategy in support of creating behavioral change using Behavioral Economics and a general knowledge of Heuristics and Cognitive Bias
  • Support new business by planning and crafting the pitch narrative (in partnership with Client Services), supporting research (in partnership with Analytics), and building supporting slides to drive growth for the agency

Knowledge

  • Deep understanding of the healthcare system in the U.S.
  • Understanding of the complete health ecosystem outside of marketing that impacts the potential of a brand such as market access, generic competition, corporate reputation and sales force activities
  • Understand the role of technology and digital in the healthcare marketing landscape

Critical Skills

  • High collaboration IQ internally with creative, account and analytics partners
  • High client EQ: Adept at presenting your case through a compelling and consultative approach tailored to the style of the client
  • Storytelling and understanding the art of the pitch presentation for new business
  • Distilling complex concepts into logical and simple narratives without dumbing it down

Experience

  • 7+ years of healthcare agency experience through market conditioning and launching biopharmaceutical brands
  • Equal experience with healthcare professionals and patient audiences
  • Global healthcare marketing experience is a major plus
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field preferred
